Put the cuffs on me now

I have an unhealthy obsession with french cuff shirts.  Gahhhh they are so polished and grown-up.  Men and women who wear well-cut shirts paired with a smart cufflink exude such confidence and POW.  I think I am finally old enough to wear them without looking like a 12 year old wearing Dad’s suit to the elementary school graduation.  (How ironic, I was just talking about wearing children’s shorts earlier..)

While men say the hunt for a perfect french cuff dress shirt is strenuous, the process is even more difficult for women.  This explains why I only have 2 in my collection.  Besides, there’s no way to go for cheap when a quintessentially iconic item is involved.  The fabric and cutting are just as important as the kissing cuffs.  There’s nothing sophisticated about a wrinkly limp shirt even if it can speak French.

  1. Cuff links are amazing. I’ve never worn them myself, but my mom wears them. I remember how long it took her to find a shirt. They really should make more of them.

    Great outfit. You look great.

  2. I’ve never really thought about wearing cufflinks or french cuffed shirts, but you look so fantastic and polished in the pictures, I definitely want to try. I do hate to iron though and I would def end up the one with the wrinkly limp shirt.

  3. that shirt is absolutely amazing! I love how sleek it looks, I hate a button down thats bulky and awkward. PS your hair is a huge source of envy for me ;)
