- I am starting a series called “In More Ways than One”, IMWO for short, because everything in life needs to be acronymed.
- IMWO is pronounced “I M Wo” because trust me, I AM WHOAAAAAA.
- Inspired by the Uniform Project, I will designate an item in my closet as a constant and attempt to create as many different outfits with it as I possibly (or impossibly) can.
- My goal is to explore the potential of my wardrobe and free my mind from constantly wanting to own more and more things. We have too many things.
- I also hope that you, as a witness to my pilgrimage, will learn to look into your own closet with appreciation and intent. Overconsumption is a poison to the mind. We have to be thankful for what we have.
- There are no rules, because rules don’t rule when it comes to fashion.
First up to bat is a houndstooth tuxedo vest from Club Monaco. It came into my possession in the Winter of 2008 when it was on sale. I picked it up because of its rather masculine cut and feel.
So let’s do this. Here we go with outfit #1. It’s nothing earth-shatteringly amazing, but a good work outfit is a good start. The houndstooth and the pattern of the silk scarf make an interesting combination.
Silk Scarf: Hong Kong
Pants: Hong Kong
Shoes: Hugo Boss – my newly acquired work shoes!

Awesome vest. I like that scarf tied around your neck.
cute outfit! I remember seeing that vest in the stores..I contemplated buying it before but had no idea how to wear it lol
The vest is so flattering on you! I love that you added a little scarf as well, so adorable and chic
That`s a great vest. Love the way you paired it with the silk scarf. Can’t wait to see how else you wear the vest.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do come by more often

OMG. So I have a problem with vests. I love to buy them. I don’t know how to wear them. I am LOVING this idea of yours – can’t wait to see all the outfits you put together with this FAB vest.
I also love houndstooth! I’m kinda thinking I want to come steal your vest.
I love the scarf and the vest! I’ve always wanted to pull off both and you did in one attempt!
Cute! That’s a great idea! the scarf added such a nice touch of color. The vest is too cute and I think you’ll be able to do a lot with that. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next
It’s interesting how sexy you look in this outfit
I love how the “masculine” pieces still look fitted on you and flaunt your curves
Love how you added the scarf as well!
